Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Nice golden colour.
On the nose there's a lot of orange marmalade and dried yellow fruits - as well as some almondy character, wool and oakiness. Very ripe and a bit oxidized.
Dry and heavy mouthfeel benefits from a balancing acidity. Fruit is again very ripe but gets a bit hollow in the middle. The finish is quite long with honey, woolly aromas, citrusy bitterness and almondy roundness. The oak does integrate some while the wine is kept breathing, but still it comes through quite clearly in the hollow'ish mid-palate.
This quite an unusual wine is IMO well worth trying out.
