APPEARANCE: Nice red color. Watery around the edges AROMA: Soil, mulch, roasted red bell peppers. Smokiness mixed with smells of an old attic/library. TASTE: Big, soft lush tannins. Long finish. Dusty and chalky

Another delicate and light wine, this one had more fruit and a better and more up front spiciness. The Tour de Bigorre hid hints of lemon among the fruit grounded by pepper. The taste starts at the characteristic Bordeaux low and heads higher into fruit in a running display of lightness that contrasted with the solidity and slightly gawky Oregon Pinot Jigsaw we had at the same dinner.

Garnet color. Earthy raspberry fruit with a deep earthiness. Simple rustic finish that is reasonably well balanced.
