  • Popped and poured (unscrewed actually). This was the second attempt at a bottle for the night. For as much as I enjoy the romance of pulling the cork from a bottle, when you get that corked bottle it just kills you. Since the first bottle of the night was corked, I immediately went for a screw top knowing that I wouldn't have the same issue. Nose had some green apple and jasmine. Lively acidity on the palate with notes of pear. Finish was focused but short. This wine drank easy. Would purchase again.

  • Notes from day 2. Light medium gold color. Nose of white flowers, pineapple, little citrus and cream in there as well. On the palate there was more of the same with a little more citrus comming through, pineapple, cream, slate, but some white pepper noted on the end. There is oak used, but it is well balanced IMO. Will say this is better served closer to 55 as the white pepper heat appears when it is warmer. Drink. 50+5+12+17+7

  • Popped and poured for guests. Color of dark straw. Nose of white flowers, candied tropical fruit, with a the perfect amount of cream. Palate of citrus, pineapple, cream, minerality and little white pepper on the tail end. The finish is above average in length, and there is really nice balance to this wine with the perfect amount of oak. Excellent qpr, probably my favorite producer for value from WA. Great wine and better people. Drink or Hold. 50+5+12+16+7

(Rulo Winery Chardonnay Birch Creek Vineyard Walla Walla Valley) A bit darker in color than the Sundance wine. The wine is considerably more aromatic with grass and hay notes. The palate is toasty with light buttery flavors. 100% Chardonnay. Fermented in French oak. Sampled at 60 degrees.
