A light yellow in my glass, this 6-year old Oregonian chardonnay featured a nose of petrol and vague butterscotch. The palate was very oily, nearly as oily as Conundrum, for example, and featured the aforementioned petrol, citrus, vanilla, and butterscotch. The butterscotch was not as prominent as that of the Hahn Napa chardonnay, for comparison. The finish on this interesting chardonnay stretched out beyond 30 seconds. There was more of this, though I don't think I'll be getting any more, but glad to have tried all the same.

Vanilla oak, spice and tree fruit on the nose which carried through on the palate. Medium to full bodied with good balance of acidity and tart fruit with some minerality.

Had with Kim last night with dinner of fresh salad, fried mushroom medley and mahi mahi. Very good, mature, dark yellow, mellow and smooth Oregonian chardonnay, really improved the last 2-3 years. Smooth nose, not overly sweet, pear and floral tones. Primary flavors included mild citrus, pear and vanilla. Too expensive to be a good QPR but overall a very very good chardonnay, highly recommend this.

Vanilla nose, with lots of pear, spice, and acid on the palate. Long finish. Cool climate and classy.
