A touch of balsamic vinegar about the nose. A food wine with plenty of (dry but not astringent) tannins from both the plavac mali grapes and the wood. This was better than the CT tasting notes had led me to expect. It's its own thing and certainly not a 'fruit bomb' - worked well with roast beef. Continued to develop over a couple of hours - think it has life left in it yet.

Not as good as the bottle tasted a couple of weeks ago at the producer, this was evolved in colour and on the palate with notes of dried fruit, spices, balsamic vinegar. On the palate powerful and intense, earthy, spicy. The tannins are a bit drying towards the finish. 89-91

Tasted next to the 2007 Stagnum, this was my favourite wine in the line-up. A bit rounder and softer, very expressive and generous with lots of earthy, herbal, mineral characteristics. Very pure and elegant. Ripe, soft tannins. Long and persistent. Drink or keep. 91-93

14.3% alc. Tasted a month later, and still cannot bring myself to like it. Volatile and cinnamom sticks in aromas, little fruit left on the palate, wood, feels tired. A. Wine tasting at One, Porto Montenegro.
