Great Riesling, made in a Spätlese style but a bit leaner, a few years past its prime yet still holding up well over 3+ days vacuum corked in the fridge. Has a bit of plastic and marshland peat on the nose as well as relatively strong notes of aged sherry, grappa, and hints of herbs; a long undercurrent of citrus rind on the palate with flavors of Gala apples, hints of white tea, and, again, some grappa notes; finishes dry, with notes of saline-driven Manzanilla, some oak, and a dash of sweetness on the aftertaste. Enjoyed this best served just slightly chilled. 11% ABV. 89-90+

Tasted a bit tired and a touch "sherried" but still some pleasure here. Apples and stone fruit and a bit of petrol. Enjoyable, just past its prime riesling.

Oxidized and undrinkable. Maybe because of the stupid little glass stopper?

Still can't get over the rubber ball smell. This wine is complex but also just nice to drink. Works well for cooking.
