  • I can't believe this is the first tasting note on this wine given that I purchased it at Whole Foods. Nonetheless, this is a classic Riesling in almost every sense and a bargain given the price and bottle age. Displays a deep straw yellow, at first it overwhelmed with petrol notes but then gradually (over next two days) all the elements came together: stone fruit, hints of caramel, roses with a lingering minerality. Finish is a nice complex 20 seconds or so. Drunk over three nights and the score went up a point every night with last sip being the best. Suggests it has more time to peak. Get to Whole Foods while you can.
