big mixed dark fruit and mocha; a bit ponderous and heavy such that it wasn't a match with the meal (pasta and fish cakes); might still be ok with BBQ red meat.

five pound bottle; dark with dark bubbles; modern style with plenty of hedonistic fruit all the way thru the mid palate; stays just on this side of being overripe and still has some structure; some tingle on the finish due to acidity and a bit of alcohol, but no heat. Mocha oak is notable and integrated. Some secondary flavors add complexity and some sophistication. Loses some gas on day two.

I found the Doctor to be a challenge- seemed to be a hodgepodge of flavors with no particular taste or feature that stood out from the others. Have one bottle left, hopefully that one will have a better table side manner.

Awesome wine! This is in a great place right out of the bottle, but it only gets better with some air. The nose had lots a red fruits, some blueberry, roses, maybe some smokey oak to help frame it all together. The taste was silky smooth, with the acid at the perfect level to give this the energy it need to continually develop for several hours. The taste had all the red fruits and blue fruit from the nose, this pair perfectly with a top sirloin. Wish I bought more.
