Great. Closed down and was best on the third day. So if you intend to drink the bottle in one lots of air time (3h+) will do wonders on this. Riedel Vinum Burgundy showed best. All you would expect from matured California Syrah. Fully integrated tannins and spicy bouquet. Pepper, smoke, meat, jammy black fruits but no too overconcentrated. Everything done right. Will still deliver over the next years.

California Syrah (Webster Wine Bar): Dark ruby. Full nose of attractive, bright sweet black cherry and spice aromas. Palate shows pretty florals and fresh cut red fruit. Sweeter fruit with a bright, lively personality made complex with pepper, spice and smoke. Drinking well and in a good window -- no reason to hold any further. The best Ojai Syrah in a flight that also included the '02 and '03 Roll Ranch.

The Rotating Dinners, I.1: California Syrah (Chicago, IL): This shows a lot more complexity than the 2002 Ojai Roll Ranch we had alongside. Tons more black pepper, this also has a slight mineral tone, as well as much more acidity, which makes for a much more pleasant drinking experience. Lots of earth, and some dense but not jammy black fruit. More restraint than the 2002 as well. Very good.

This is in a good place and drinking well. Fully integrated tannins, black fruits, smokiness, tar. I would drink these now.

Last bottle of the ones bought with Harvey. Wine got better with age.
