  • Still very youthful looking - with a deep/opaque ruby core and a narrow pale ruby rim. Nose shows pure bilberry fruit, floral notes, attractive meaty hints. Medium/full on the palate, soft tannins, pure black fruits - bilberry, plum, meaty notes, touch of spice, decent acidity gives this a nice elegant feel, then a good length harmonious finish. This is excellent, and very good vfm too. Drinking well now, don't see any upside to holding further and probably should be consumed over the next 3-4 years.

  • Deep colour and viscous legs. Fragrant, complex, exuberant nose of black fruits, menthol, minerals and earth. Full-bodied. Decanted for one hour, the tannins have softened and there is bags of fruit. Robust, but beautifully balanced. Has just hit its drinking window and highly recommended. Excellent wine making. Consistent notes. Estimated maturity: Now-2015+

  • Youthful appearance - deep ruby/purple core, pale narrow purple rim. Sweet black fruited nose with vanilla and floral notes. Hint of tar. Just a little more than medium bodied on the palate, soft tannins, lovely perfumed blackcrrant and black cherry fruit coming through on the mid-palate, vanilla and floral notes, elegant for a southern wine with medium soft tannins and a good length finish with some nice freshness. Very good indeed, Alquier's wines are made in nice, restrained, elegant style.

  • Decanted for one hour. Deep colour with hint of purple on rim, and viscous legs. Fragrant, complex, exuberant nose, minerals, earth. Full-bodied. Tannins have rounded over the last twelve months and there is good fruit so this wine will last. Robust, with good acidity, well balanced. Good length. A class act. Consistent notes. Recommended. Estimated maturity: 2007-2015
