  • Bargain Bordeaux that I purchased 5 years ago. Was the perfect everyday/mid-week Bordeaux back then - and a great deal at $15 – so I set this bottle aside to see how it would age. Unfortunately, this should have been consumed back then. Surprisingly still a very dark purple color with a decent amount of sediment. Light nose with some plum and spice. Medium-bodied palate that’s definitely fading. Plum, tobacco, and oak profile. Medium length finish. Has lost much of the layered elegance that I once recall. Drink any remaining bottles now!

  • Soft, round and velvety. Little complexity, but still an appealing nose with cassis, prune and strawberries. Flattering on the palate with a pleasant residual sweetness.
