I refrain from a rating, since Hildegard is in serious decline by now. Still good structure with citrusy acidity. The bouquet is missing freshness and has some firn. Should be enjoyed within the first 5-10 years of its life.

A nose of cookie dough, almond, butter and some tropical fruits (ripe mango). On the palate the wine offers crisp acidity, a medium long midpalate. Altogether its quite full-bodied and has still refreshing qualities. I would drink it over the next couple years, where it should stay at this very good level.

Love this wine. Have fooled many people with the grapes, but the wine sings. Great acidity, but still a soft mouthfeel. Jim Clendenin introduced it to us at the winery out of magnum.

This is a blend of 55% Pinot Gris, 40% Pinot Blanc and 5% Aligote. The immediate impact, on the nose, is a OAK, with minor notes of apple and almond, but too attenuated to offer a sizeable impact. OK, I do get a freshly baked cake aroma, wow. The overripe Gris and PB show in the initial finish, then get pushed aside as the oak influence emerges. Overall a very dynamic wine, it gets its complexity from many moving parts (several varietal constituents). OK, but watch your price to get a seat at this performance.
