Open for five hours without decanting. Palate shows thick, sweet, and juicy red fruit notes of strawberry jam and kirsch, with savoury notes of basil and mace. Full-bodied, with soft, pillowy tannin. Nose initially shows a stale sawdust note, but this eventually blows off and reveals perfumed notes of cherry and hibiscus.

This bottle (my last) was probably the best of them all. I had a feeling this would age well upon release and I’m so glad I put a few down. There’s a good amount of sediment and the wine is dark garnet with a little bit of cloudiness. Stand this up for a few days before drinking if you’ve still got some around. Beautiful, haunting nose that’s 10x what you’d expect for the price. Nice moderate bramble fruit, superb balance, resolved tannins, excellent concentration but not monolithic or overpowering. This is a ridiculous value, particularly if you let it age.

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -dark red some sediment and mild bricking -somewhat roasted red fruits -med- acidity, med+ weight viscous almost sticky texture mature roasted grenache, mild heat on finish -typical for the vintage though this is less of a hot mess than many others, a bit past its prime

Drink up now if you have a bottle. On its last legs, but still very pleasant. Showing dried fruit now but paired worn-out dusty character. Still nice and long and rich.
