My last bottle of the 2006 and this is still really drinking well. The green apple that was quite evident on previous bottles has subsided a bit allowing more citrus notes to come through. On the palate, still very bright and vibrant with a medium finish. Really an excellent sparkler.

Retail ~$20-25. I paid ~$13. These were some of the last few bottles of the 2006 and they are still rocking (one of these days I am going to hold on to a bottle of Argyle for a decade or so to see how it does). I drink a lot of sparkling wine and this is one of the better domestic efforts out there. Lots of green apple and a hint of citrus, this is a fantastic pairing for anything Asian, particularly my wife’s seafood pancakes. Very Good. 88 points.

(Argyle Vintage Brut) Light yellow color; tart peach, tart apple nose; tasty, rich, medium-bodied, tangy, peach, apple palate with a bit of oak showing and good acidity; medium finish (roughly 50/50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir)

Still drinking well and pleasantly rounded; I get a faint grapefruit citrus note with a mellow finish

Served as greeting prior to Thanksgiving dinner. Very good sparkling wine, crisp with notes of green apple and citrus. My last 06; sorry to see it go.
