Medium garnet in glass, aromas of smoke, cherry pie and rosewater. Palate is a blast of fruitbown (black and red cherry, raspberry and strawberry), followed by layers of campfire smoke, black earth and a touch of saddle leather, all swaddled in sweet, round tannins and balancing acidity. Just emerging from a quiet period, with many years of potential to go. How do you spell Grand Cru in the RRV?

Still very drinkable but definitely way past its prime. Bricking on the edges. Fruit very faded.

Wine is definitely aged as it clear on the edges and bricking. Soft round fruit with a nice long finish. Would drink over next 12 months

Enjoyable medium bodied and fruit forward with primary cherry fruit. Not a lot of complexity under the fruit though
