  Soft and rounded, prunes and figs, chestnuts, garrigue, pepper, nutmeg and a touch of barnyard. Bit of alcohol in the long and balanced finish. A big friendly giant, completely mature now or approaching the end of its drinking plateau, if you will.

  In reality this has aged shocking well. Deep, dark, tobacco, a bit of smoke, and then grilled plum, black pepper and intense spice. It is dark, concentrated and definitely a bit influenced. Yet it is also delicious and screams of CDP.
  
  Not my preferred style. But also a serious wine.

  Still drinking beautifully - this CdP has no sharp edges and is dynamite with dinner of chicken with peppers and cream sauce. Dark fruit, blackberries, licorice, tea, and spices.
