Drank with xmas meal yesterday. I agree with several other reviewers on this wine. Mature CdP that, while not quite over the hill, there's little fruit remaining and that is on the pruny side. Earthy, mushrooms and woody elements. Tannins are fully resolved. Very subdued, low-profile wine that is on the way out. Drink up

This is not as pushed as I expected and the oak is well integrated providing spice without drying out the fruit. This is still dull nonetheless, a wine that lacks character and local feel, but does provide some marks of Christmas spices, vanilla and pine tree. Luckily this was my one and only bottle of this rather dreadful wine.

Elements of Wine 2020 - My Class at GnG; 8/30/2020-12/27/2020 (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA): This is the last of my bottles, the previous bottle tasted in early 2019. As mentioned in other notes, there is a low-key profile to the wine. I find that enjoyable in older wines. I don't need or expect them to be in my face. Though, I think the wine has shed its tannin while the fruit has turned out a bit like prune jelly. The finish reminds me of a smoked sausage cooked in an old cabin fireplace. Best to drink this up now.

Went well with pot roast. Milky burgundy with browning on edges, not much nose. Old leather, saddle, wood bark on palate. A bit past prime.
