  Everything that DOCJAVADUDE wrote seven years ago is still true, with one exception: this has lost nothing over time. If anything, this has only gotten better. As I've aged, I've lost some of my sense of smell - this is not an uncommon thing - but the bing cherry and mild tobacco notes were still noticeable, and enjoyable. This was peculiar for me, as I detest the smell of tobacco, but it melded well. The cherry carried over onto the palate, softing into Queen Anne, with some ripe plum underneath. We got two bottles from the Beckmen's personal library, and still have one left. Have to hold it for a few more years, just to see what it does.

  Beautiful Cab. Bold and strong in the right places, subtle and soft where appropriate. Small vineyard and small production really shine in this bottle. Dark aromas and flavors - black cherry, plum, tobacco, and dark chocolate. Drinking well now -- fruit might begin to fade with too much more time in the bottle.
