Tuesday (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. Immediately called it as aged chenin -- that classic wooly note was there in spades alongside some apricot and green apple notes. Quite sweet for a bottle where I couldn't find the Moeulleux designation on the label anywhere. Not quite the same complexity as Huet bottlings in general though.

Crystallized honey Brie Quince Dried papaya Ripe summer peaches Stewed apples Candied citrus peel Caramel Toffee Chamomile Creme brulee Bruleed grapefruit Sugared yellow raisins Dried chamomile Beautiful cut of acidity to balance out the off dry lush fruit. Still smells and tastes fresh, so many layers, could easily go for a several more years.

Bordeaux Marts 2018 First of a case of 12, Had the Moelleux before (92/100) This is fresh and taste like a 10 year old Vouvray, quite sweet, pure, delicate nose and very easy to drink. Keeped fine for 3 days in the frigde Only problem is the cork, it is very short and difficult to open. Drink 2018-2022

Gorgeous wine. Mead like aromas of candied apricots, freshly cut grass, orange peel, honeysuckle and cool minerality. The palate is rich and round lots of orange flavors with bright acidity. The finish lingers and remains fresh.

Note: I use a rating for which 85 represents a very good wine.
My last bottle of the Prince, like the others, was a show-stopper. Even the less experienced drinkers at the table recognized that something was up. Simply a pleasure to drink.
