Even better than the first bottle! This held up for a long time and was paired with some scallops in curry cream broth which underscored the richness of the fruit and palate on this wine. Wow!

What a fun wine to discover! Just as the previous tracker noted, there's some oxidization at play here, and first I struggled to determine whether I felt this wine was just peaking as a mature late picked Roussanne, or if there was also that kind of wild and exciting tension between oxidative style and freshness that are more common in the wines of Jura, or alternatively if the wine was just past it peak. The first hours, it held up quite well, and at slightly less chilled temperature, the freshness and minerality was alright. Day 2 the sherry had taken over and we did not finish the bottle. We will see over the course of the next couple of years how this pairs with different kinds of food and ages.

Oxidized into sherry flavoured apple juice. Into the pot with a lamb shank and some veggies it went.

More of a dud compared to the other ones, has a distinct note flavor of cheap concentrated apple juice.

See previous notes. This had a little more freshness to it, but also slightly less developed mid-palate.
