So how is this grand clos doing a decade and a half later. Nose is faded and well into tertiary phase. Mouth feel however is still there. Drank over 2 days and holding on to dear life in day 2.

WineFest in Toronto (Mike Grammer); 7/10/2016-7/12/2016 (Mike Grammer's (parents home) in Toronto): Another from Ontario. Golden in color. The nose has yellow grapefruits. A bit tart. On the palate, the yellow grapefruit carries thru. Tart acidity. Some oak/vanilla comes thru on the palate. A very nice wine. I wonder where this goes from here. It had been open for quite a while before I found it. Seems well made for sure.

Rich golden hue. Decadent buttery nutty chardonnay reined in by juicy acidity and minerality. A crowd pleaser with a measure of complexity. Oak integration should get better with time. Questionable QPR.

What ColinR said :-) Excellent example of what Ontario Niagara Chard can and should be. Great balance between fruit, minerality and barrel character. Very much alive too: easily has a few more years ahead of it. More Burgundy than New World.

Beautiful example of Ontario's best. Gold color. Toast nose. Round although with good acidity. Somewhat short. A bit expensive.
