I expected a sweet wine.... Sure it has a little port nose. Still very good with flowers and deep Plums. Very on the palate with unobtrusive sweetness and a lot of fruit, complex. This is very good.

Deep smell of dried dark fruit as mature cherries. Ore wet rasins. The taste confirmed the smell-notes. But a little bit "light" as an Amarone, more like a rich ripasso. Any how - a deligtful meeting a late chilli summer evening with friends. Alligrini knows how grown-ups like it.

Casual Dinner (Giant Garouper, Serangoon Road): Very dark. Tasted like an old world Cabernet. Very rich and robust though not in a modern way. Quite representative of the terroir. Can't find much to fault here yet does seem a bit anonymous.

Strong in alcohol, but surprisingly easy to drink compared to amorene's
