I bought this wine because it was a bottle of 1985 that turned me on to the majesty of White Burgundy in 1989 at Masa's (back when Masa was still the chef). The bottle was in perfect condition, so it was not surprising when the color turned out to be perfect as well: medium yellow with high viscosity. The wine offered up a medium intensity nose of lemon and limestone which developed nicely over the course of 1.5 hours.
The flavors followed the nose and benefited from a long zingy finish. Wile not incredibly complex, this wine appeared to be at its peak and quite enjoyable if you like Chablis style wines. It should last for a while (if well stored). Reasonably impressive.
