Forgot about this bottle, found it tucked away in the cellar. Medium golden hue, bright. Nose is restrained but pleasant - lemon, honey, marzipan, with some nutty and mineral character. Medium bodied, decent mouthweight but is lacking some acidity and fades pretty past. I'd say it is about 4 years past its best. Would have been nice in its prime.

Aromas of lemon, barley, lanolin, and buttered toast.
Maintains an austere palate of sour lemon, lanolin, and grass in the background and in the finish. Good length, however it’s dominated by a rather searing acidity.
Opinion: Solid. More convincing than the previous bottle, with more freshness. Has time up its sleeve. Leave last bottle another 4 years to see what happens.

Aromas of lemon barley, lime, lanolin, toast, and hay on the nose.
Lemon, lanolin, and toast on the palate. Mowed grass in the background. Excellent length, but only light-bodied and not a huge amount of depth of flavour. Lacks freshness. There is something funky in the background; almost like a bretty beer.
Opinion: Drink up now. The wine has seen better days. The palate isn’t totally convincing; much better as a young wine. Let it breath to open up, and drink closer to room temperate.

Screwcap. Pale, light yellow with a bright hue. Still has hints of green.
Lemon meringue pie, bath salts, tarragon and melon on the nose, with a delicate perfume of light honey.
Flavours are driven by sour lemon barley lollies, with some toasty, lanolin notes. The palate is somewhat of a letdown, being quite light and watery, lacking depth. There is also a honeyed, waxy sensation that doesn’t do any favours given the lack of fruit freshness and intensity. The acid is nicely balanced though.
Opinion: Decent mid-week quaffer, but not particularly exciting on the palate. The nose is lovely though.

Buttered toast, sea spray, lemon, grilled nuts, honey, lime, and a hint of lanolin in the background.
Mid-weight, with the same aromas carrying through on the palate. Reasonable length. Finishes toasty and acidic rather than fruity.
Opinion: Past its best. Drink now.
