Wedding Celebration Dinner for Simon and Alison (Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand): Very nice slightly commercial kabinett in early maturity. Well judged balance - the sugar/alcohol/acid balance was well done - in a wine with a high 11% alcohol. I enjoyed the bottle age, beeswax and slight petrol character. Well made. Drinks well now but will certainly go for many years to come (under stelvin).

Solid and excellent early drinking kabinet. A touch of so2, clean and refined lime and apple, well judged balanced and perfect acid balance. Not hugely complex but it offers a layered and true expression of a kabinet. Value for money here.

This is a nice Kabinett. Pear and lemon custard with nice dry acid streak that you would expect for a Kab. Finish is light on its feet and went well with the fish entrees we had.

Candied and flowery on the nose, a step up from all the Q wines that I have been tasting today. Equal parts of Nochenheimer and Rodenberger (sp? -- on both). I apperently don't know my Rheinhessen well enough. A little bit of soapiness, power, and refreshment on the palate. I am feeling it for $19.

Excellent wine. Perfect example of a good German reisling. Full of fruit flavors but not too much. A well balanced wine.
