This wine is garnet colored with medium legs. The nose is linear with ripe plum and dark cherry notes. On the palate, the ripeness of this wine is evident in the dark cherry and ripe plum flavors. There is adequate acidity for this fleshy, medium-bodied wine, and the finish has solid length. Overall, this wine had a riper, darker profile than I prefer in my pinot noir, so it came across as bulky to me. It was, however, an enjoyable wine that seemed more like a solid merlot or a warm climate syrah.

The nose is still fantastic - my last note on this was about 18 mo ago - still very floral with hints of spice, it's perfume like in a very good way. That floral scent carries onto the palate along with the spice. It's more foresty now, and a bit 'warmer' in flavor, with a bit less acidity. Will be drinking the last one sooner, rather than later.

I did not care for this, although Brig's note is more complementary. The heat in the aromatic really disrupts the wine for me, just too dark freuit driven for my liking.

Delicious. Deep, bright, tart cranberry and cherry flavors. Nicely balanced.

Good varietal character with a clear California emphasis on fruit. Medium body and moderate acidity. Fairly simple, but an honest expression of PN.
