It would be difficult to count the winemakers that have made a Clos Pepe Pinot. Off the top of my head, that includes Siduri, Loring, Brewer-Clifton, Ken Brown, WALT, A.P. Vin, Roessler, and Ojai. Pretty much a who's who of the Central Coast Pinot crowd with Clos Pepe Vineyards leading the way. Ojai's version is a bit darker than those I have tried before, dark in the glass with blackberry, anise, and an herbal aspect. The palate is rich and integrated with luscious fruit, a touch of earth, and a whole lot of moxie. Yum. thedrunkencyclist.com

Stunning! Seductive from the moment the cork is pulled. Elegant nose, so reserved and yet explosive. It's hard to stop sipping and smelling this gem. The elegance is the hallmark here, but this pinot is also complex. Perfect balance and flawless finish. In happy place now and I suspect it will drink well another 5+ years?

Kevin says that this wine is "super great" but I find that it's only good. Well, maybe super good.
The wine is good with good tastes and a good feel, but I find that the structure is a bit strange, as if it silences or mutes the rest of the wine. Perhaps this one needs another few years, but goodness, it's a rich voluptuous Santa Rita Pinot, and with the strange structure, well, does that ever resolve well?

Thick, muddy and a bit tart. Fruit has faded leaving a less than pleasant finish. Drink them if you got ‘em.

Quite tasty... but structured. Perhaps needs some time to open...?
