From Art's cellar. One-and-one-half-hour decant. A little post-Christmas wine gambling. We won. Crimson color in bowl, slight bricking, wine was clear and it threw some sediment. Red currant on the nose with a fines herbs overlay. Well-balanced, tannins all resolved. The medium finish ends with a little bitterness that is a warning to drink up. Far better then we had any reason to expect.

From Magnum. Into neck fill. Good cork. Very little sediment. Starting to brown at meniscus but otherwise seemingly younger on nose. Loads of red fruits dominate, with a just enough acidity for food. Sweet Oak and Cedar. Black fruits in the background. Very smooth. Enjoyable in this format.

This was a complete surprise. It's color implied a much younger wine. Fresh strawberry and raspberry aromas. On the palate, cherry, cassis and cedar framed by beautiful acidity. Nicely balanced and very much alive. Shows its pedigree. Seems to fade in the glass a bit but it was a real pleasure to drink. Drink now.

Can't say for sure corked but had a bit of TCA that overcame any enjoyment out of this. Was sell stored with good solid cork just one of things. Oh well was looking forward to a nice aged Inglenook as last one I had was really enjoyable. Haven't seen but one other review on this so can't say if it's just bad luck or time to drink up for those still holding. Had great ruby color and little if any sediment by the way so chalk it up to a flawed bottle.

From Magnum. Lovely. Sweet tannins, red and black fruits, sweet Oak. Just the right amount of acidity. Very smooth.
