Really beautiful bottle, and reflective of both its appelation and the vintage. Why 2000s got a bad name is beyond me - clearly one of the best drinking burg vintages right now...

Bill's Monthly Lunch - June 2010 (Vancouver, BC): Tasted blind - medium ruby red core with a strong brownish/orange hue throughout. Sweet and funky nose giving lots of earthy notes with some pepper coming through on the palate. The nose has some similarities to a well aged Nebbiolo. Good acidity and soft feel with resolved tannins. Was shocked to this was only a 2000, seems much older. Drink now. Excellent.
