Still rocking! Impressive for the age. Fruit and all structure points there, lovely developed tertiary notes. I would actually buy more if that was an option.

Popped and poured. Red brick in color. The nose is somewhat muted, but what little there is, is earthy and a touch of sage. Whatever fruit was here has long since gone. What you get now is spice, cedar and minerality. Silky in texture with a decent finish. The tannins are gone but the acidity is still present, which is the one place where the sense of balance is off. Excellent with seasoned filet, it wasn’t quite the same experience after the food was gone. Clearly on the downhill side, but still a pleasant experience especially with food.

If you're still holding on to this...there's no rush. I was surprised at the tannins and acidity. I'd say you've got at least 5 years left. We decanted over 7 hours with half the bottle in the decanter and half in the bottle. Both held up with the slow ox starting to outshine at the end of the night.

A real Napa fruit bomb. A bit sweet for my taste.

Beautiful. Silky smooth. Vey balanced but great flavors, a touch of vanilla and a nice long finish.
