  • :30 open before drinking. Nicely integrated. Quality juice. May soften over next 6-12 months but no reason to hold if you are thirsty.

  • Agree with mflesh notes. A very nice, balanced wine. Tannins are a tad harsh upon opening, but smooth out in the glass within minutes. Should continue to age well for another 4-5 years.

  • I don't understand the sub-90 ratings OR the "drink by 2017" recommendations of the one user. This wine is FIRMLY a 92, maybe a 93, and is probably a 2022 "drink by" wine. Maybe even longer with proper cellaring. Wow, this wine hit me across the face from left field. This 07 fruit is SINGING right now. NO signs of decline at all. Wine poured a deep dark red into the glass. Nose was intoxicating red and black fruits. A little herbal and deep on inspiration. Hint of lavender. Front of palate was blackberry, licorice, lipsmacking, moderate-to-full bodied, and delicious. The mid-palate was a little complex, soft, elegant, but with lavender, cassis, earth, and black pepper spice starting to creep in along with some new shoe leather and budding stiff tannin. Finish was DEEP, DARK, and tannic. There is NO WAY that this wine is done in 2 yrs. I believe that there are MANY MORE YEARS left on this one. Drink by 2022/24, but I'm not sure that 92 does this one justice at the moment as this one will probably shine a little more. Kicking myself that I am not getting around to this one until now (as it will probably be hard to find a replacement).

  • Decanted 1 hour and rebottled. Some heat on the nose with dark fruit aromas. Medium bodied. Black cherries and plums on the palate with noticeable oak. Heat continues through the mid palate leading to a moderate finish with drying tannins. More integrated and drank better on Day 2. Seems a bit disjointed right now and will probably benefit from additional cellar time. (88+)
