Last bottle. This one is not showing the rotten egg on the nose like the last one. It does however show some mercaptan taint. Just a touch of smoke and rubber that isn't terribly offensive. Otherwise it shows nice ripe fruit and a creamy limestone minerality. Less Chablis like than I remember, in fact, the merc add an oak-like character that leans more towards a Californian style. If the reduction issues are solved in future vintages I would be a big customer.

When I had this wine over a year ago it was great. Last night however it showed nothing but H2S on the nose. The palate was still pretty nice but the rotten egg just wouldn't blow off the nose. Disappointing if not drunk young.
