  This bottle was closed and a bit rough on the edges on day 1. Not as approachable as the last bottle...maybe on its way down. However the 2nd day it shined. So needs a long decant.

  A few additional years did wonders for this wine. Now you can taste the fruit, medium body with mixed red and black fruits, nicely balanced, soft tannins. some spice on the finish. The harsh grippy tannins are gone so one can enjoy the finish. Easy drinker. Friends enjoyed it as well. Nothing complex or spectacular, just a very solid Alexander valley cab that has finally come around after 8 years.

  Medium plus body, acidity, herbs and spice evident, some mixed fruits but muted. A bit harsh, grippy tannins and dry finish with an earthy character. Once the finish improves should help the wine. Needs a couple more years.

  Popped and poured. Medium-plus garnet hue. Aromas of black cherry, black currant, cocoa powder, cedar, and a bit of toasted oak. Medium to medium-plus body. On the palate, this Cabernet tastes of it's Sonoma origins with a more finesse driven style that is quite well-balanced and showcases tasty black & red fruits, dried herbs and spices, earthy minerals, and toasted oak. The somewhat rugged tannins have a bit of grip on the solid finish. Should age nicely for 3-5 years. Great QPR at $13 per, a great wine to purchase by the case.
