A medium term cellar wine popped at the right time. Purchased four years ago at K&L, the wine has fleshed out nicely showing a tight red fruit nose with minerals and stone. The pallete has bright sour cherry fruit that ripens to become almost sappy mid-pallete, but in a nice way, as it makes the wine feel more balanced from the acidity. The only drawback is the finish that falls a bit short with just lingering sour cherry, minerals, and very subtle drying tannins. Mature, drink now or over the next couple of years for best showing.

Nicely mature pinot from Givry in the Côte Chalonnaise. Colour quite intense for this not-so-special vintage, showing the appropriate amount of age. Sort of inky, funky nose. Softish attack, acidity leading the way (not unpleasantly so) across a fruity, smooth taste; finishes rather short. Alltogether a decent showing.

Uncorked for about 1 1/2 hours before tasting. Bright fruit, good structure, well-balanced smooth finish. Still plenty of cellar life left.

Crisp notes of berries and dried fruit. Rep garnet color and a great find at this age
