Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 92 points

  • Classic sweet perfume with spice, soil and a core of pure red fruit. Persistent, but the background rusticity reminded me that Murgers is a Nuits, not Vosne, no matter of its proximity. Interesting study of Jayer craftsmanship in a drought vintage, although pricing greater than its intrinsic value.

  • Quite ethereal nose, clearly unfiltered, savory profile, soy sauce, cherry, rose petal, grilled meat. Unsettled juice getting better with time, very fine acidity, somewhat cloudy still, great midpalate energy, vintage ripeness, somehow short finish. 92-93
