  • Wonderful deep red color. Very good finish. In a great place.

  • This is medium garnet, almost completely opaque. The aroma is soft, sweet, with definite American oak, coconut, typical of the old Bonny's from the '70's, with slight herbal-vegetal notes. The palate is soft and round, also with American oak and excellent cabernet-cassis flavors. Perfectly ready, with slight astringency on the aftertaste. Long finish. I think half of the $140 price is the wine itself, the other half the Bonny's vineyard label. Excellent wine in the glass, but overpriced. I would buy more of their less expensive wine, in the $50 range.

  • Tasted at dinner with '07 Cayuse En Chamberlin, which completely overshadowed it. This is medium garnet, almost completely opaque. The aroma is soft, sweet, with definite American oak, coconut, typical of the old Bonny's from the '70's, but without the herbal notes. The palate is soft and round, also with American oak and excellent cabernet-cassis flavors, a touch of vegetal. Perfectly ready, with slight astringency on the aftertaste. Long finish. I think half of the $140 price is the wine itself, the other half the Bonny's vineyard label. For wine in the glass, it's very overpriced.

  • Really an excellent, very drinkable wine. Decanted for a short time, but really almost a pop and pour. Not enough depth and length to make this a classic for me. Interesting cured meat notes and maybe a little smoke. Great with a flank steak on the the charcoal grill. Reminds me why I need to get away from my gas grill! I would not buy again due to poor QPR - too many other great wines for less. But, we all certainly enjoyed the one bottle!
