  • sweet and clean red fruit nose and entry. relatively restrained use of oak and deft crispness (i.e. not obvious signs of maladroit acidification). As it opened up the finish lingered longer and displayed more spice and some minerality. Competently made cooler climate oz cab-shiraz, perhaps lacking in intrigue but acceptable given the price. A whole lot better than the critter wines and generic overpriced bombastic, palate-tiring Barossa offerings.
