This is the flagship of Semeli. Evolved with mushrooms, earth, ripe black fruit and leather on the nose followed by a still tight palate. Quite leathery and oaky still needing time for full integration. Perhaps it will improve but at this point it leaves you with edges.

Was drunk with Coq au vin. Light color, light to medium body, cherry and berries in nose, medium lasting. For a 7 year wine, i expected a little more rounded tannins. No bad, but needs more time.

Tasted a "Dionysia 2011" wine fair, Athens, Greece. Light ruby. Cherry jam and fruit cake on the nose. Light-medium bodied with red fruit in moderate concentration, tannins that have softened remarkably since last tasted and high acidity. Medium+ finish. Improved but still not really attractive.

Ruby. Cherries, currants and vanilla on the nose. Mid-light bodied, austere and somewhat diluted, with dry tanins and high acidity. Long finish. Might gain some weight and roundness with further cellaring.
