  • Floral aromas with apricot, citrus and raisins. Rich, fat, viscous and warm on the palate. A bit short, maybe.

  • Open 6 hours. Nectarine, apricot, peach, flowers, rocky minerality all prominent on the nose. Reminds me of walking through a wood when the flowers are in bloom. Magnificent ripe tree fruit on the attack, sliding effortlessly into a sweet apricot cheesecake mid palate and finish. Also some celery or something similar later on. Really long creamy finish. Perfectly judged acidity. The minerality becomes more pronounced on the finish by the second half of the bottle. Maybe some smokiness on the nose too. Very faint petrol and rubber too. Not bone dry but definitely dry. I will be seeking out more Austrian Riesling and other Prager bottlings as this is from the top drawer.

  • Opened six hours in advance. An incredibly soft cork that broke into several small pieces. Pours a deep lemon. Feint petroleum, lime and orange blossom, honeysuckle, white peach, under ripe nectarine, and a dry stone minerality form the nose. Superb ripeness, concentration, and purity of fruit, particularly on the mid palate where this wine really excels. There’s just a hint of residual sugar that’s brilliantly kept in check by the racy acidity. A textbook example of the delights reisling can deliver in the hands of the right producer. A very elegant and seriously impressive offering.

  • The previous bottle was 10 years ago. The un-corking was kinda difficult, the cork broke in 100 pieces. But the wine, wow, simply amazing, blossoming with a lovely mineral, wet rock, a touch of petrol and mango fruitiness, the palate still creamy, a bit sweet, with less acidity then 10 years ago, but so satisfying, definitely at its peak. Pure pleasure.
