Deep crimson. Ripe cherries, black raspberries, pine, and Asian spices on the medicinal nose. Mid-bodied, structured, smooth textured, and good clarity. There's a touch of anise on the hibiscus and cherry fruit finish.

The retail price of this bottling from Sanford has crept up over the years but man - it's incredibly consistently delicious. I'm a buyer south of $25. My enthusiasm wanes once it hits $30.

Dark, but not opaque color. Bright acidity, firm tannins, and plenty of New World black cherry & spicy notes. Got a little heavy towards the end of the bottle. [14.5% abv.; $25.00].

Drinks like a classic Santa Barbara Pinot Noir. Bright cherry and balanced oak. Nice plummy finish. We drank it with fine cheeses and was excellent. Would also go very well with a lightly grilled lamb. All together a very well made wine.
