  Not much going on here on the nose; certainly lacking the fruit Beaujolais can have. Perhaps I waited too many years to open this. In the mouth the wine is rather course, and impersonal. An uninspired wine that leaves me flat. At $25 for the Descombes, I'm beginning to think the less I spend on a bottle of Beaujolais the better since I drink these wines for their playful personalities, not for this dark, brooding style. At half the price, I get so much more pleasure from a bottle of Lapierre Raisins Gaulois.

  Nez expressif de framboises, floral, mais avec aussi un coté écurie qu'ont plusieurs vins "natures", qui se dissipe habituellement à l'aération. En bouche, c'est une petite bombe de fruit, gourmande et fine, avec un charme qui fait craquer. Texture tendre, ronde et suave, très Brouilly, mais rien de superficiel, une belle tension. Très beau vin. Je l'ai sous-estimé auparavant, il me semble avoir pris de l'ampleur et de la complexité depuis un an. 90 pts

  Joli nez de griottes, avec un zeste d'orange. Une bouche poivrée, ronde, avec une bonne concentration, tout de même assez sérieux comme style. Il a de la finesse, mais pas la profondeur du Morgon 2007 du même producteur. Il prend de l'ampleur avec l'aération mais demeure un peu énigmatique. 87-88 pts
