Medium ruby color leads to a nose of currant, sandlewood, and a bit of saddle leather. Medium body has flavors of currant, anise, ripe ranier cherry. Finish has but on considerable length since last bottle a year ago. This is final bottle of a six pack I bought in 2006 and easily the best bottle. If you own this wine, now is the time to drink up.

Retailer tasting. Selling for $20. 90% Merlot, 7% Malbec and 3% Cab Franc. Not decanted. A smooth drinking wine but it had some grip on the finish. Notes of currant, spice and graphite. Could use some more time. 88-90 points.

Decanted 3 hours. Reveals classic notes of red fruit, currant and glove leather. Finish is pleasant but short. A good every day drinker but nothing special.

Missing the core of earth associated with a good right bank claret. Fresh acidity with some chocolate and dark fruit. Smooth tannins, lacking on the finish. Opened (with a glass poured off) 3 hours before drinking. A pleasant, easy drinking style, but not a wine built for long term holding. Drink up.
