  • Hyper youthful in colour, literally like a current release. Classic Clare Valley signifiers on the nose, lime, petrol, tennis balls, and clean, pure water running over smooth pebbles. On the palette, bone crushing minerality and a substantial salinity. It reminds me of the cliffs that mountain goats climb to lick. Lime zest as it got warmer. I can see why this style is an acquired taste but I love it.

  • Crisp, clean & refreshing almost crystalline yet fully mature. Saline with understated lime fruit this had
Beautiful poise and finesse. With an everlasting finish, I loved the elegance and fine structure. What a beauty.

  • Beginning to hit its straps and about to enter its drinking window which will be a long one based on the evidence of this bottle. Beautiful pale yellow-green, the nose was citrus driven with some tropical fruit built-in. Weighty and zesty body, had beautiful structure, definition and acidity that will ensure this wine will last for a long time.

    Drink now or 15+ years.

  • Pale lemon gold in colour. Classic nose of slate, talc and bath salts with a mandarin oil tinge. It’s so fresh and youthful in the mouth with more of the same plus a touch of lemon citrus and honey. Lots of weight in the mouth, density without any heaviness. Classy wine drinking beautifully but with time in hand. Try again 2023

  • Appearance: pale, gold
Nose: medium plus intensity; aromas of honey, pistachio, melon, white peach, petrol, blossom, pineapple, lemon zest, toast. It’s developing.
Palate: dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity, flavours align with nose. The finish is medium plus.
Overall, it’s a very good wine. Can drink now and has potential for further ageing.
This wine is still a baby although there’s quite a lot of development in the bottle. The balance between acidity and fruit flavours are great which doesn’t make the acidity feel too high. It has lovely nuttiness and beautiful floral and stone fruits. Still a long future ahead of it. I will maybe crack another bottle in 5 years.
