Golden honey colour, viscosity revealing the high alcohol. Sweet, intense, apricot, cantoulope melon and peach on nose. Very full powerful ripe fruit attack, acidity shines through on the mid-palate and reveals a glimpse of a mineral structure which soon dies to leave a long but acidic, slightly bitter finish. The high alcohol content shows at every stage with this wine, and whilst still integrated, if it shows more with age it will be detrimental.
Not a fine wine, but easilly the best five pound white wine this year. Needs food really. After 24 hours the fruit died down and the oak became much more prominent.

Nice contrast to to the '03 Guigal, much more complex, less sweet, nice forward fruits but not too sweet. Good minerals. Nice wine
