Very nice; some gentle red fruit in the background framed by mature earthy and leathery notes, and a higher toned spicy/VA element that adds complexity. It's very light on its feet with tannins fully resolved and bright acids providing all the structure, and I can't imagine this getting any better. Another very good bottle of this, suggesting the bottle I had a couple of years ago (also from David's cellar) was no fluke.

Color: dark red brown
Nose: dried fruit and leather; warm spice (nutmeg and vanilla); light intensity.
Body and flavor: light to medium body; smooth, well-balanced with good acid structure; complex and rich flavors of dried fruit.
Aftertaste: lingering.
The only bottle I own... a tribute to Horton Vineyards and a grape most of us have never heard of, let alone taste. Bravo after 20 years!

Firm acidity, aging gacefully.
