Unscrewed and poured. Light, pale straw hue. Forward aromas of citrus, gooseberry, green bell pepper, and a touch of minerals. Light body. On the palate, the Sauvignon Blanc is very much true to the varietal flavors, with grapefruit/citrus flavors accompanied by a some green notes that show somewhat jagged and harsh. Acidity is high and the overall presentation is a bit unbalanced. Nevertheless, the core of fruit is very nice and the plus acidity helps this pair nicely with food. A solid QPR for < $10, would be perfect for pouring at a summer party.

(Lobster Point Sauvignon Blanc) #2; COLOR-light golden; NOSE-burnt tire which I think is fascinating; some greenness and grassiness; PALATE-quite green; you have to like bell peppers, cucumbers, asparagus; brussel sprouts; this wine is OK; a little austere and awkward; it does have some weight and flavor; getting an intriguing papaya flavor that I like; GV-86

Your basic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Not the flavor bomb of some, but still better than most American versions.
