First and last of the Christmas fortified wines this was in a sherry style, deep auburn colour with a green tomato nose. Very smooth in the mouth, sweet but with a sublte salty aspect and roasted (meat) flavours coming through, savoury and very good with some elements of a rustic, rural wine in the background. 85-86pts.

The bottle we opened was past it's prime. Raisin sweet with a funky aftertaste.
