The normal Solter style is to make the wines as single-vintage, but there is no age or vintage designation or disgorgement date. 12,5% alcohol. Tasted blind.
Intense, luminous neon-green color. Fragrant nose with aromas of sweet apples, lemon marmalade, some beeswax, a little bit of damp woolly lanolin, light yeasty notes of autolysis and a developed hint of ripe dark berries. The wine is dry, smooth and mellow on the palate with flavors of ripe yellow apples, some leesy yeast, a little bit of developed, red-fruited character that reminds me of cherry, light chalky mineral tones, a hint of apple peel bitterness and a touch of wizened citrus fruits. The wine is surprisingly modest in acidity for a Riesling and the dosage shows a little. The mousse feels smooth, ample and silky. The finish is dry, bright and mineral with medium-long flavors of chalky minerality, ripe citrus fruits, some tart Granny Smith apple, a little bit of leesy yeast and a hint of mealy golden apple.
A pleasant and nicely drinkable bubbly Riesling that seems to have some age on it already, showing some developed character and woolly notes in the nose. Comes across as surprisingly soft for the variety and overall lacks a bit freshness. Enjoyable, but lacks the thrill of the best Solter sparklers.

pale yellow colour, fine mousseux, smells of melon, medium body, dry, but not in a tart way, in the mouth and aftertaste melon, medium length finish, a nice Sekt that shows Rheingau typicity, I personally would prefer the Barth Sekt in this price range though

With 4 years of cellar aging, it's starts to turn very nicely, these NVs benefit from aging! ****
