  • Color: hazy medium ruby with bricking
Nose: cherries.and mahogany,.tobacco leaf and olive wood. There is a constellation of other scents here like pencil lead, cigar box, blackberry and blueberry, old book
Palate: high acidity, medium tannins that are fairly tame at this stage, balanced. Confirms the nose with some extra cherry jam
    Finish: medium

Beautiful wine with a great balance between tertiaries and fruit at this stage. Beautiful meditation piece. I think this has a while more to go but not a lot of improvement ahead; recommend this at cool room temp with 2 hours of air

  • Gorgeous. Depth. Sweet fruits. Tannins are moderate. Long.

  • Slight funk on the nose at first, but rapidly receded into a dried herb garden. Intense and fresh in the mouth, with lovely shining acidity bracing sweet cherry and raspberry. The tannins are all gone, and leaves the wine feeling a little hollow, but I'm happy with this delicious last bottle.

  • Perfume of flowers and cassis bouquet. Tasted red fruits, lavender, creme, mint leaves. After some airing, developed sweetness with a tinge of honey and prune but not overbearing, with a nice warm and earthy finish. Some tonight felt this bottle may not have been kept well as the maturity seems beyond its age and it was somewhat lethargic. For me, this could have been more. Open now.

  • Perhaps very slightly past its peak, but drinking beautifully. A little funky mushroom at the start, but that blew off leaving a a fresh, leafy, herbaceous bouquet. Light tannins alongside firm acidity and dried cherries. Lovely wine.
