Phenomenal nose. Fragrant perfume and violets. Vanilla oak. Reminds me of a basket pressed Shiraz from Australia. Black cherry, bacon and jammy fruit. Great acid fruit balance with a lingering finish. This was the fourth and final bottle of what I could purchase and I am glad I held it to now. Not at all beyond its peak, and wish I had more

TC love this dry farmed (1/4 ton per acre) Mourvedre. On the nose, dark Cherry cobbler with earth and Cinnamon. This wine is concentrated with deep flavors and a long finish (45+ seconds). At 15.7 Alc. it is not hot at all. I wish I had more. The Arroyo Grande Valley turns out great Zinfandel's as well. Try it. $60.

This was my last bottle of this wine and I drank a Chateau Pibarnon Bandol later the same week. This wine was better. It had a more substantial nose, good color and more fruit than the Bandol but was not "fruity" per se. Hard to find this wine but worth seeking it out, particularly if you like Bandol.

Fabulous fruity aroma that is jammy yet also balanced. A great wine. Highly recommended to decant. A little offbeat, which I like.

Good wine overall. Nice aroma. Nice depth out of the bottle. Good balance of fruit and acidity.
